Table scraps can be more harmful to your pet than just leading to obesity.

Some commonly accessible, but dangerous foods:

  • Fatty, greasy food like bacon grease, fried chicken, or sausage

  • Grapes and raisins

  • Onions

  • Garlic

  • Chocolate (dark and baker’s chocolate is the most dangerous)

  • Xylitol- a sugar substitute found in diet or “sugar free” foods and chewing gums

  • Dairy products

  • Macadamia nuts

  • Alcohol

  • Avocado (one to avoid in our large animals as well!)

  • Raw Yeast dough
